Rihanna returned to her native Barbados for the Kadooment Day parade, the grand finale to the Crop Over celebration.

The crop over tradition began in 1688, and featured singing, dancing and partying through the streets. Originally a celebration signaling the end of the yearly sugar cane harvest, it has since evolved into Barbados’ biggest national festival similar to Carnival in Brazil and Trinidad. The climax of the festival is Kadooment Day celebrated with a national holiday when costume bands fill the streets with pulsating Barbadian rhythms and fireworks that ignite the sky.

One of Africa’s biggest musicians  Timaya aka Egberi Papa 1 of Bayelsa hit the stage to perform “Shake Your Bum Bum”, and Riri was seen in the corner of the stage just a few feet away from Timaya doing just that- shaking her bum bum.

Machel Montano also performed and stated him and Timaya have a song coming out soon!
